A team player who dares to think and act beyond…
‘I am a born leader’-is kind of a hyperbole, I feel. Many times we go with the impromptu gush asserting, “I would be the best leader if you trust me and elect me.” However, don’t you think that these kinds of claims are cliche and are responses out of the adrenaline gush and josh before an election?
I, Nehal Jagdish, would love to be candid with you. I have a freedom of thought and a passion in my heart. But I know that to spread the wings of actions in achieving a goal, I need a team- a unified whole of many hands and one mind. The acronym of ‘together’ ‘everyone’ ‘achieves’ ‘more’- is an empowerment to rise and shine, to be maverick enough to dream big and dare to think beyond.
Without sounding theoretical in sharing my aspirations as a team player and guide, I would love to introduce myself as your buddy ‘Nehal’ who is open-minded, who might be a team lead because you expect her to support you with a sense of direction. I might be the guide of the team, for you believe that I may have reflective and collaborative streaks infused in my thinking genes which make me understand you better, set our goals, plan well, and work towards a shared mission and vision.
Hence, today it is my pleasure that the school team has trusted us to walk the empowerment mission- the starting point of a lifelong journey with baby steps and eventually with BIG steps.
I am sure we would agree with each other that this one blog or my one mesmerizing pitch before you may roll the ball or turn the ball over or at most call for me to celebrate the moment of success with the bang of the gavel- ‘Kudos, Nehal is the Vice Captain of Cauvery!
Trust me, all of these are a very small part of the learning journey of life. I believe that our greatest onus to be leaders is certainly not for others but for ourselves in raising the sense of responsibility, honesty, and integrity within us as empathetic, compassionate, and global minded citizens who would be instrumental in making the world a better and peaceful place.
Empower ourselves to reach sustainable goals
Grit is the mantra of my journey
I love to treat others the way I love to be treated
